task 9: Meeting the client brief (M3, M4, D1)

Image
My front cover Within the front cover of the magazine I have used multiple post-production techniques in order to create meaning and to meet the client brief. My magazine front cover has been created in line with the provided brief. One way this has been done is with the use of text. The bold text I have used makes the magazine's purpose and aim apparent. It clearly focuses on the North London music scene, especially areas such as Camden (mentioned on the cover). This use of font creates meaning as it reflects the focus of the magazine. This meets the client brief as my use of text and front portrays the content of the magazine, North London. My use of the masthead font 'Punk Attitude' also links into the genre of music the product is based on. The cracked and disordered style of the font creates an atmosphere which mirrors the grunge/rock genre of the magazine. The magazine's appearance makes it explicit that it focuses on the new, evolving music scene...

task 8: Post-production techniques and processes (P5)

Front cover I started the magazine production by opening an A4 document on photoshop. Editing it allowed it to become more eye-catching. the final product I cut out my main image using the magnetic lasso tool. I did this so that my model's head would be in front of the magazine title. Using this tool, I outlined my model fr...

Double page spread article Which famous musicians do you admire and why? Ever since I can remember I've been obsessed with David Bowie. I grew up in awe of his confidence and his ability to break down the stigma surrounding gender, sexuality as well as many other controversial areas. From Bowie I learnt so much about myself, I learnt to accept myself for the way I am and not to change that for anyone. The impact he's had on the current music scene is undeniable, I will never fail to be astonished at the sheer amount he did during his life time and how it still incredibly relevant in todays culture.  What song has the most meaning to you and why? ‘Imagine’ by John Lennon has always given be faith in myself. I know it sounds cliche but I honestly do ‘imagine’ my future as a successful artist every time I hear it. I think its amazing that he managed deliver such a political message with such a smooth melody. I fully agree with the message of the song that ever...
